Shadows of the night

In the nights shadow,

The moon twinkled its light towards my window,

Loneliness clutched my heart,

As sorrow visited me in fine art.

In the nights shadow,

I sat still while my tears rested on my pillow,

I battled to deny the thought of being in isolation,

While calculated space sprang out and titled itself SEPARATION.

In the nights shadow,

Memory raced through my heart into a hollow,

For a second my brain came to a halt,

But my advances were just a cleared plot land.

In the nights shadow,

My hands held my head as it anchored itself with my elbow,

The zeal to proceed vanished suddenly making my throat too small to swallow my grief,

But in all my cloth entangled itself around me and consoled me through the eve.
